Located on Adelaida Road, Lone Madrone hosts a ranch style tasting room with relaxed atmospheres and friendly staff. Lone Madrone is the personal label of winemaker Neil Collins, who helped to build the Rhone portfolio at Tablas Creek. Lone Madrone does have Rhone varietals but the Zinfandel and Tannet Blends are what make the label unique. Enjoy a tasting flight ($15) waived with two bottle purchase. Private tastings ($35) are available by reservation and include an educator with 8 wines. Burger Sundays are hosted during warm months and include vegetarian and lamb selections. We love the terrace seating at this location so much it was featured on our Instagram. Neil Collins is the artisan behind Bristol’s Cider House in Atascadero. This location features a variety of different house made ciders and is a good place to unwind with friends during non-winery hours.

  • Anne Bonny Cider
Named after the famous female pirate Anne Bonny, this cider is heavy on flavor and bursting with personality. The Anne Bonny is a blend of culinary apples including Pink Ladies, Granny Smith, and Honey Crisp and aged in “used” Kentucky casks.
  • 2008 Bad Shepherd
Very clean and fresh on the pallet, huge deep red fruit sweet but by no means cloying. Alluring length, slow and plush to the finish.
  • 2014 Bailey Ranch Zinfandel
  • 2012 Barfandel
Vibrant and bright with notes of boysenberry and raspberry, yet the nose withholds for what comes next! The mouthfeel is well rounded with lively acidity making this a wine that begs for food. Try pairing with Italian meatballs, chicken parmigiana or tortellini with prosciutto
  • Black Bart Cider
Granny Smith apple cider is fermented until dry, hopped, and then bottled with the addition of Saison yeast and aged for at least four additional months undergoing secondary fermentation. The resulting cider is bone dry, tart, and refreshingly crisp with a hint of hops.
  • 2010 Bollo
2010 offers a full basket of tobacco, black tea, violets and red stone fruits.
  • Bristols Original Cider
Crafted from a variety of local apples including Ida Red, Braeburn, and Granny Smith, Bristols Original is our flagship cider. Mostly dry but slightly sweet, this is our best seller and a favorite of many.
  • 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon

  • 2013 Mourvedre
Savory earthy notes clash with the aromas of wild raspberries and under ripened plums. Gamey and gripping with chalky pepper there is a pleasant soft chewiness that tightly dances across your palate only to make way for a full coating experience in the finish. We love the light and the dark that this wine shares and suggest a pairing with cumin and herb stuffed sausages on the grill or slow cooked pork carnitas with shredded red cabbage.
  • 2013 Old Vine Grenache
  • 2012 Old Vine Zinfandel
This wine sings with notes of bright red cherries and raspberries. Well integrated tannins with a hint of barrel spice and red licorice all lead to an amazing, velvety long finish.
  • 2015 Oveja
The mélange of dried grass and the sweet earthiness of oak leaves will dance in the background and on the finish. The brightness and depth of this wine can provide just the right accompaniment to many seafood dishes like salmon, scallops or a rustic bouillabaisse.
  • 2014 Oveja Negra
  • 2015 Picpoul Blanc
The 2015 varietal Picpoul Blanc is filled with deep aromas of golden apple skins, Asian pear and accentuating softer hints of pineapple. The citrusy-laden acidity marries into the full flavored richness, providing the long start to finish experience that is a signature quality of this wine.
  • 2013 Points West White
Luscious aromas of honey, stone fruit and a dash of orange blossoms. Rich and creamy in texture with notes of pear, honey and peaches all complimented by well balanced acidity, making this a perfect wine to compliment your meal. Enjoy pairing alongside lobster with herb drawn butter, crab cakes, seared scallops in brown butter or a cashew chicken curry.
  • Rackham Cider
A meaty blend of apples, dry hopped with Citra and Belma hops.
  • 2016 Rosé
  • Skimmington
A traditional British farmhouse-style cider made from Granny Smith and Braeburn apples fermented with brettanomyces. Non-carbonated.
  • 2012 Sweet Cheeks
A delectable bouquet of baked golden delicious, cinnamon, and buttery pie crust might convince one that Neil has finally figured out how to bottle a pie.
  • 2012 Syrah
  • 2013 Tannat
With aromas of blackberry, ollalieberry and plum that all somehow found their ways in to the same summer pie. Upon first taste you can enjoy hints of baking spice and vanilla on the edges and a viney blackberries and cream compote taking up most of the real on your tongue. A pleasing contrast is the bitter fresh plum finish and chalky mouth-feel. I would pair with a Bourbon glazed steak and baked sweet potatoes
  • 2012 The Dodd
A powerfully structured wine as one might expect rich of color, with long dark fruits and tar.
  • 2012 The Will
Perfumed notes of Bing cherry blossoms and raspberries on the vine walk hand-in-hand with intriguing notes of earthy sandalwood. The Zinfandel’s freshness of fruit binds itself to the soft silky tannins of the Petite Sirah allowing the cherry and raspberry to brazenly show up again at the finish.
  • 2012 Von Dog
  • 2013 Zin Of Steel
Bright, fresh and vibrant and chalk full of notes of red cherries. Pair with goat cheese, serrano ham or a burger.
  • 2014 Zinfandel
