Located on Peachy Canyon Road, the Michael Gill tasting room doubles as a French Hunting Lodge. Michael Gill is a hunting enthusiast and many different specimens are on display. Every wine in the Michel Gill portfolio has won a gold medal, which is a designation given to very few winemakers. Calcareous soil and varying levels of sun exposure allows this location to tailor optimal conditions for each varietal. During our visit the tasting list included Syrah, Viognier, Counoise, and Tempranillo. Enjoy a tasting flight for $10 waived with a bottle purchase. Outside food is welcome in the patio area covered with red sun umbrellas. Two Russian Wolf Hounds call this tasting room home. Pets are still welcome but they must get along with other dogs.
