Located on Vineyard Drive, Oso Libre is part of the local movement for sustainability. This label uses windmills to produce power and alpaca to prune grape vines in autumn. Winemakers Chris Bear and Jeff Freeman are using estate grown fruit to produce a variety of Rhone and Bordeaux blends. This location is also pouring single varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Primitivo. Enjoy a tasting flight ($15), waived with a two bottle purchase. Oso Libre has multiple outdoor settings that are perfect for small groups and sunny afternoons. The terrace seating that overlooks windmill has been featured on The Golden Vine Instagram and changes color year round. Outside food is welcome and hay is provided to patrons who would like to interact with the alpaca. Burger days occur about once a month (April-September) and feature Oso Libre Angus Beef. Most beef products are reserved for beef club but steaks, brisket and sausage are available for public sale.
