The result is a round, full mouthfeel with flavors of peach, candied apple and citris, finishing with tropical fruit.
2003 Syrah
This vintage did not provide the same intensity as the 2002 but has held its own nonetheless, and at times, like now, has even been a favorite of mine. It pairs best with savory foods rich barbecued meats, sweet sausage and French onion soup are a few that come to mind
2004 Syrah
The earthy tannic character pairs well with foods on the bold and spicy side with just enough sweetness to bring forward the fruit flavors.
