Produced from both Estate Zinfandel and Petite Sirah/ a blend of three barrels from our 2007 vintage and one from our 2008 late harvested vintage, all of which have been fortified or Mutage with brandy spirits distilled from our 2006 Estate Zinfandel and aged in mostly new fine oak for up to 22 months. This sweet dessert wine is made in the style of age-worthy Porto wines.

2012 Estate Zinfandel
Our 2012 Estate Zinfandel is a perfect example of the fruit our vineyard is capable of producing. A complex wine with brighter cherry-raspberry initially, and followed by a riper profile of rich berry and seductive oak. Balanced and build to last, like our 2005 and 2007, this wine is food ready and will develop for many years in the bottle.
2012 Old-Vine Carignane
Our 2012 Old Vine Carignane is our fifth release from this special vineyard. We allowed 23 months of aging in fine oak barrels.
2011 Old-Vine Carignane
The 2011 Old Vine Carignane is our forth release from this beautiful vineyard originally planted in 189 Our Evangelho grown fruit was the last harvested from the vineyard in 2011. This last harvested fruit assures us the ripest possible conditions from the choicest sweet spot in this amazing vineyard. We traveled to the vineyard, the morning of September 28th and returned with 8 full bins of amazing Carignane fruit.

2013 Old-Vine Carignane Dessert Wine
The 2013 Carignane Dessert Wine is a stunning example from the 1890 planting of Carignane in the Evangelho Vineyard. We produced one barrel of this beautiful wine and allowed it to age in new oak for 26 months.
2012 Reserve Cuvee
Our 2012 Reserve Cuvee is our blend of Estate Zinfandel/ Old Vine Carignane, and our Estate Petite Sirah. I held back, or reserved, the majority of our Estate Zinfandel in 2012 as the backbone for this blend. I added Old Vine Carignane, from the Evangelho Vineyard, and Estate Petite Sirah until I felt we had found a perfect balance.
