  • 2013 Anna's Red
Our Anna’s Red is a Rhône-style blend mirroring the classic wines of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape using estate-grown grapes from our mountain vineyards in the coastal hills of Paso Robles. The wine is softly textured, tasting of mulled strawberries and savory flavors reminiscent of roasting pan juices and wild thyme. Aromas: Strawberry and blackberry compote, herbs de Provence, and hazelnut liqueur Flavors: Sautéed strawberries with allspice, light veal stock, sage, and thyme
  • 2014 Anna's Red
Deep ruby color, bright red plum, forest fruits, blackberry compote and herbs de Provence with bright tantalizing fruit acidity.
  • 2014 Anna's Red Signature
Inspired by the top cuvees of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this reverse engineered GSM blend showcases the synergies of these varieties.  Anna’s Estate Vineyard features mountain elevation and steep south facing exposures, all the better to maximize vine stress, thick skins and flavor intensity The wine delivers the savory flavors of a game infused blackberry reduction with hints of Herbs-de-Provence and campfire smoke. Aroma: Black forest fruits with notes of underbrush and wild herbs Flavor: Savory game infused blackberry reduction with herbs de Provence
  • 2014 Anna's White
Paso Robles favors warm climate red grapes, however there are a class of white grapes that also have an affinity for these coastal mountains. Particularly successful here are the white Rhone varieties. Anna’s white blend contrasts the crisp and aromatic accents of 4 of these, emphasizing the apple and citrus personality of Grenache Blanc. The goal here is balance, that pushpull between purity and richness, achieving a sustaining sense of flavor, the pleasure center. The finished wine has developed a cornucopia of flavors moving from crisp granny smith apple and tangerine to hints of pineapple and tropical fruits. Drink now through 2019. Aroma: Tart apple, orange zest, pineapple-lime, peach blossoms FLAVOR: Granny Smith apples, pineapple citrus, quince
  • 2014 Anna's White Signature
These warm climate adapted varieties have been fine tuned to show lavish fruit with balancing natural acidity. In this wine, the emphasis is placed on the opulent, tropical-like qualities of Roussanne and Viognier with the stabilizing contribution of Picpoul Blanc, an obscure variety prized for its squeeze-of-lemon acidity. Luxuriantly fruity, it is bursting with a riot of exotic Aroma: tics and succulent flavors from ripe pineapple and mango-guava to honeydew melon, finishing with impressions of custard and ginger spice. Drink now through 2019. Aroma: Cornucopia of tropical fruits: pineapple, mango, and baked flan. FLAVOR Custard apple, ripe honeydew melon, pineapple, touch of ginger spice.
  • 2013 Cabernet Franc Signature
Adelaida planted Cabernet Franc in 1991 and 2007 on the Viking Estate Vineyard. With elegant fine tannins, the wine is a patrician to Cabernet Sauvignon’s machismo, moving from violets to flavors of pomegranates, blueberries, graphite, and tea. Will benefit from additional aging, best from 2018-2023. Aroma: Violets, cranberries, cedar spice, black tea, graphite shavings. Flavor: Red plum, pomegranates, blue fruit, fine black tea, green peppercorns
  • 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon

  • 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature
Mountain grown fruit, chalk-rock soils, south facing exposure, and a marine influenced microclimate, are the elements needed to produce a monumental Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink now through 2029; recommend decanting and aeration for immediate gratification. Aroma: Violets, cassis syrup, blackberries, graphite shavings, burning ember FLAVOR: Black cherries, espresso roast, dark chocolate, cedar spice

  • 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah Signature
Australian championed a shiraz-cabernet blend back in the 1800’s where it became known as the “Great Australian Red”.  Characterized by its gush of succulent fruit, there is immediacy to this wine: chocolate dipped mulberries, high gloss blackberry fruitiness, and sweet Christmas spice come to mind. Drink now through 2023. Aroma: Ripe black cherries, blackberries, cocoa, nutmeg FLAVOR: Creamy texture, blackberry pie, hazelnut coffee, Swiss dark chocolate

  • 2012 Cinsaut
Cinsaut is a major player in the warm climate countries of the Mediterranean from Southern France to North Africa, and Corsica. Still rare in California it achieved notoriety when crossed with pinot noir in a South African hybrid known as pinotage. Deceptively light colored, Adelaida’s Cinsaut has a supple texture with soft tannins and plush berry flavors. Drink now through 2018.
  • 2013 Grenche Anna's
Grenache Noir, the red version of Grenache originated in northern Spain and migrated throughout the world, with particular prominence in the southern Rhone.  Known in Spain as Garnacha, in Sardinia as Cannonau, it produces a range of wine styles from fragrant Rose in Provence to deep, full flavored examples in Australia and Spain’s Priorat.  It is a thin skinned, prolific producer and its quality is highly dependent on controlling/reducing its vigor and tendency toward voluminous clusters and high yields. The wine captures the eye with its jeweled translucent ruby color leading to flavor notes of spiced strawberries and sweet tobacco. Aroma: Strawberry/black cherry compote, mulling spices, sweet pipe tobacco FLAVOR: Strawberry/black cherry concentrate, orange zest, English-breakfast tea
  • 2014 Mourvèdre Signature
A stalwart in our Rhône program, Mourvèdre traces its origins to medieval Spain where it is known as Monastrell. Well adapted to warm climates, it thrives in the mountains of Paso Robles. Its flavor captures a quality of underbrush and wild herbs. At its core, this wine delivers red currants, enveloped with a sense of dried thyme and wild game continuing to a prolonged spice box finish. Drink now through 2022. Aroma: Redcurrant, dried underbrush and sweet spiced cherries FLAVOR: Red currant jelly, deep red flowers with thyme and spiced box notes

  • 2013 Muscat Blanc 2012-2013
Always the last pick of the year, Adelaida’s dessert wine is based on a small block of aromatic Muscat au petite grains or Muscat Blanc. The frozen grapes are pressed off, producing only a few drops of sweet nectar-like juice per grape, minus the still frozen water fraction. Sweet wines ferment slowly (over several months) and require a specialized yeast strain that can metabolize the elevated sugars. Small crops from this acre site necessitated a blend of two vintages.   Serve well chilled in a normal wine glass to show the full aromatic intensity.Aroma: honey, orange marmalade, peach blossoms, pressed flowers.Flavor: unctuous, honeyed white peach, candied ginger
  • 2012 Nebbiolo
A close-by neighbor and grape grower, Glenrose Vineyard is the source of our fruit. Known for its affinity for limestone soils it has real potential here in the Westside hills of Paso Robles. The grape requires special handling to tame its tendency toward high tannin and acidity.  Light colored due to less pigment from its thin grape skins we treat it like Pinot Noir, maximizing skin contact during fermentation and ageing in previously used cooperage. Aroma: Cut roses on their 3rd day, cherry skin, tree bark, forest floor, tobacco leaf FLAVOR: Red licorice, rose hips, hibiscus tea, turned soil, macadam
  • 2011 Pinot Noir

  • 2001 Pinot Noir
A serendipitous wine, resulting from single vineyard selections made to bolster the historic frost damage sustained in the Paso Robles appellation, and specifically to our Estate HMR Pinot Noir. Fruit was sourced from just a few rows of the full 200 acre Santa Lucia property, and is based on a variety of clonal attributions: Pommard 5, 777 and Calera. The site sits between 300-600 ft. elevation, in the southern half of the Highlands, above the marine layer and slopes southeast offering full sun exposure throughout the day. Planted in 2002 on ancient alluvial rocky, well draining soils, “The Doctor’s” experiences an extremely long growing season due to the coastal influence of nearby Monterey bay. The unusually cool growing season of 2011 proved challenging for many varieties, but ideal for Pinot Noir. Aroma: classic ripe cherry, black fruit compote, tea leaves, sandalwood FLAVOR: bright red berries, briar tinged plums, barrel char
  • 2014 Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is the heart and soul of our winemaking quest. Rarely found in the warm Paso Robles AVA, our 33 acre site overcomes the conventional wisdom of inappropriateness. Its coastal mountain microclimate, its affinity for the indigenous limestone and its old vine provenance (dating from 1964) are precursors of its potential for nobility. The wine soars with penetrating red plum and black cherry fruit, complexed by mineral earthiness and an autumnal forest floor, spice laden finish. Drink now through 2022.
Aroma: Wild berries, mincemeat pie, forest woods, allspice, campfire FLAVOR: Black fruits, pomegranate, za’atar spice blend, beefy juiciness
  • 2012 Pinot Noir

  • 2015 Pinot Noir
The wine possesses an initial gossamer silkiness morphing into flavors of black cherry, raspberry tea and forest floor dusted with whorls of spicy potpourri. It will outgrow its current adolescence in a few months, best enjoyed from late 2017 through 2023

Red varieties benefit from ideal sun exposure and exhibit nuanced flavors of their elevated mountain site in Paso Robles’ Adelaida District. Anna’s 2013 Reserve Syrah brings a nose of fresh blueberry, juicy raspberry and dark blackberry together. bing cherries, grenadine, rose petals, allspice, milk chocolate Flavor:dried cherries, fruitcake, pomegranate, sweet cedar Food Pairings:flourless chocolate cake, coconut flan, cranberry-maple pudding cake with orange zest

  • 2012 Touriga Nacional
A key and primary grape traditionally used to make fortified Port, as we do with The Don, this is only our second release as a dry red wine. Touriga Nacional is loved by sommeliers throughout the country for its wild and free bad self. Crazily aromatic: violets and pine juice, bay laurel and sage. Check it out…try one and see what you think. The somm appeal is because the wine has such distinctive personality, juicy acidity that keeps hitting the refresh button with food as opposed to being dulled down flavor-wise. Low alcohol, 12.9%, so you can drink more than a thimble full without needing a nap. Touriga is an all around authentic wine having old world lineage and provenance. Give it a whirl, you only live once.  Drink now for fun.
  • 2013 Tribe Signature
