  • 2014 Blanc de Noir
We love bubbles, and not just for New Year’s Eve but for any kind of celebration. So, back in 2014 we decided to see what a sparkler from the Hibbits Ranch could do to tickle our palate and our fancy. We pressed early ripening Pinot Noir (hence “white from dark”) into a pretty pink base wine, and then found an expert from Champagne, France to help us craft this into this effervescent beauty. Teeny bubbles release freshly baked bread aromas, and a sip reminds of cherries and white peach, with a crisp, minerally and clean finish. While we might just enjoy this with popcorn on a workday night, we can envision caviar and lobster and southern fried chicken in our future too! Cheers!!
  • 2013 Cabernet Franc
A wine for “Franc-o-philes”, with classic aromas of violets, blackcurrant and allspice. Well structured, with fine-tuned tannins, the wine delivers flavors reminiscent of red plum, savory herb and pomegranate, enveloped with hints of vanilla bean on the finish.
  • 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon
Cellar-worthy, but totally approachable and enjoyable right now. Bright red fruit, integrated tannins and balanced structure, all from a tiny, wacky 2011 vintage. Redcurrant and dried cherry, pomegranate, savory herbs, boysenberry and hints of tobacco. Elegant!
  • 2013 Classic Cuvee Red Table Wine
The vibrant maroon color hints of the character of this approachable wine. Aromas of plum and blackberry
mingle with baking spice and vanilla bean. A first sip is rewarded with reminders of baked cherries
and capuccino, all framed by food-friendly acidity and soft tannins.
  • 2014 Devin
Devin (“Deux Vin”) is all about the creamy and rich texture derived from barrel fermentation of these two white beauties. There is a reminder of crème brulee with hazelnut toastiness, all supported by a lifting acidity reminiscent of passionfruit and clementine
  • 2013 Grenache
Lovely to look at, with the pretty ruby color and fuchsia edges, Grenache releases a bouquet of berry and spice aromas with a swirl. Raspberry, hints of strawberry shortcake and big cherry prime the palate for a lingering flavor profile that intertwines with savory garden herb and a suggestion of kirsch.
  • 2015 Grenache Blanc
Our “Summertime in a Glass” wine exhibits orange blossom and peachy aromas reminiscent of the season. Crisp and refreshing, a sip brings mandarin orange and Macintosh apple notes that mingle with warm stony and garden herb reminders on the refreshing finish.
  • 2016 Grenache Rosé
Estate grown Grenache is picked early, whole cluster pressed and then fermented in stainless steel under cold, cold temperatures until bone dry. Delicate aromas of strawberry fields and hibiscus lead to a crisp and tangy palate full of citrus peel, pomelo and raspberry, overlaid with crisp minerally notes and a hint of garden herb. More austere than our Syrah Rosé, crisp and begging for quiche or a beet with goat cheese salad.
  • 2013 Grenache-Syrah
Two partners interwoven in a blissful pas de deux. Led by the charming Grenache/ with its floral perfume and delicate red berry profile and married with Syrah’s structure and spice. Bright and fruity with a burst of boysenberry, ripe plums, sweet herbs, and baking spices that finish with an underlying minerality. To complete the performance, pair with rich and savory dishes.
  • 2012 Grenache-Syrah
Our “Côtes du Buttonwood” Rhône blend - a harmonious marriage of estate Grenache and Syrah. Delicate in character and versatile enough to pair with all of the dishes at the feast! Hints of smoke and raspberry tart wafts from the glass, with notes of blueberry and cherry cola with a sip. Supple and yet with bright, food-friendly acidity.
  • Hop On Batch #2
There is a saying that “It takes a lot of beer to make great wine”, which comes from the fact that many winemakers reward themselves after a long day of harvest with a cold and refreshing brewski. Keeping the fun experimentation going, this year the winemaking team received fresh hops (Crystal, Yakima Gold, Cascade and Chinook) from Pacific Valley Hops in Lompoc, dried them in our cold room and then infused these dried cones into our estate Sauvignon Blanc. We love the combination of the herbaceous, piney aromatics that mingle with grassy notes from the wine, and then the crisp, citrusy and minerally flavors and texture on the palate. A delightful patio wine - refreshingly unique and a definite "cross-over" beverage!
  • 2014 Malbec
Our BBQ wine! Dark in color, it is also chock-full of dark fruit characteristics – blackberry, blueberry, dark plum, hints of cassis and black cherry. It is a somewhat rustic wine, with cocoa-powdery soft tannins, a food-loving acidity and earthy, savory notes to round it all out. Delightful with steaks, chops and saucy dishes.
  • 2011 Merlot
This Merlot is very “euro” in character with a lean black plum, minerally and herbal nose and a flavor profile of cranberry, pomegranate and blueberry intertwined with hints of toast. A beautiful food wine, and likes decanting/aeration.
  • 2014 Pinot Noir
Ah, cool-climate Pinot! A perfume of rose petal and raspberry wafts from the glass with a swirl, leading to a flavor cornucopia of cherry, blueberry, wild strawberry and nuances of anise. A silky texture and pleasing, refreshing finish – such a pretty wine! Silky, smooth and elegant - try with duck, salmon or mushroom dishes
  • 2013 Pinot Noir
This is a wine of delicacy and finesse. Intense floral notes mingle with just-picked raspberries waft from the glass. The palate is rewarded with a sip; the beautifully balanced Pinot bringing both red and black cherry notes that intertwine with the reminders of cola, blueberry and hints of rhubarb.
  • 2013 POSH
Once harvest is done and I can relax in front of a crackling fire on a chilly night, this is my go-to, warming, end-of-the-day beverage. POSH is made from late-harvest Syrah, fortified while still sweet with grape brandy. The result is a hedonistic wine with a bouquet of espresso bean and bittersweet chocolate mingling with dried plums. The flavors remind me of Christmas cake, chocolate covered cherries and spiced, baked apples. It will continue to improve with time, and no need to worry about polishing off a bottle once opened - P.O.S.H. likes air. Enjoy!
  • 2015 Sauvignon Blanc
We went a little “screwy” with the 2015 release! Now in an easy-to-open screwtop closure, the fusion of 93% citrusy Sauvignon blanc and 7% melon-y Sémillon comes together in a zippy blend that reminds of blood orange and pineapple guava with lemongrass overtones. Wonderful with seafood, pasta primavera or as an aperitif
  • 2016 Semi-Semi
Light, flavorful and slightly sweet, Semillon shows its delicate side in a sipper of a wine. A taste delivers a burst of sugarcane-like sweetness, white peach and apple cider notes that are lifted with bright key-lime acidity. Semi-Semi finishes with hints of almond and spun honey
  • 2013 Syrah
Our most western block, buffeted by “breezes” from the Pacific each afternoon is home to an acre of Syrah. This release is a bit jammy and a bit savory, with black raspberry meeting dried blueberry on the nose. Perfectly ripe plum notes glide across a velvety texture on a long, herbal finish.
  • 2016 Syrah Rosé
A beautiful coral color with edges fading to pink foretells of the fruitful character of the wine. A bouquet of wild strawberry and rose petal wafts from the glass. Crisp and refreshing on the palate, ripe summerwatermelon and cherry are joined by hints of allspice and nectarine. Nicely balanced, and simply zesty!!
  • 2011 Trevin
The wine boasts a beautiful claret color, and a swirl brings earthy truffle and a savory herbal bouquet. On the palate, layers of cherry compote, cranberry and red plum flavors finish with refined tea-like tannins.
  • 2015 Viognier
Our first release of this estate grown Rhône white! We have one row (yep, you read that right) of Viognier (vee-own-yea!) growing on the north edge of the vineyard. A bouquet of honeysuckle and apricots lead to a viscous mouth-feel and notes of peach and crème brûlée flavors with a nutty, almond-ish finish.
  • 2016 Zingy
Zingy is our first white wine bottled and released from the 2016 vintage, floral and herbal on the nose and a yin-yang texture on the palate. “Sweet-tart”, crisp and mouth-watering acidity that brings flavors of lemon-lime, citrus peel, white peach, kiwi and hints of honeydew melon. The finish is refreshing with reminders of ground seashell from a day at the beach. It’s named “Zingy” because, well, it is! Enjoy just chilled
