Located in downtown Solvang, Carivintas Winery is an alluring location if your wine crew includes four legged members. This tasting room goes the extra mile for dogs with water bowls, treats, and beds. Additional seating is available away from the tasting bar, which is perfect for a picnic lunch. Children are also welcome at this location; amenities include a small play corner and free Wi-Fi. Enjoy a tasting flight for $15 or a Mimosa for $8. The name of this label combines the Latin term for charity and the French word for wine. A portion of wine proceeds are donated to rescue organizations like Best Friends Animal Society and Return to Freedom. It’s not uncommon for employees to bring in their rescues animals for extra ambiance.

  • 2012 Pinot Noir - Lillie
Our latest, and LAST, estate Pinot from my family vineyard near Lompoc. Aged in 10% new oak for 14 months, it has aromas of black and white pepper, dried cranberry, smoky oak, and plum, with a hint of violet. This is followed by flavors of plum, Craisins and pepper and finishes with aromas of cinnamon, cherry, plum, tobacco, and white pepper. Great by itself or pair with mushrooms stuffed with bacon and roasted jalapeno and cream cheese.
  • 2014 Pinot Noir "Oz"
Aromas of Flint/minerals, cranberry, sharp cherry. Hints of cinnamon, and cedar. followed by flavors of plum, Craisins and cayenne pepper and finishes with aromas of cinnamon, cumin and an interesting dustiness and crisp acidity. Great by itself or pair with spicy BBQ’d lamb kabobs or a wild mushroom risotto.
  • 2010 Poodle Pop
Aromas of smoky black cherry, vanilla, and strawberry. Flavors of cherry and boysenberry syrup, fig confit with a nice tart finish. A nice round, full mouthfeel. A really yummy, jammy wine. 65 months in neutral oak.
  • 2012 Return to Freedom 3-Pack
This Years gift pack consists of 3 award winning wines produced locally in the Central Coast and the Santa Ynez Valley very close to the home of these beautiful Mustangs. We know you will enjoy this years beautifully labeled varietals either by consumption or as a collector. 2011 Sauvignon Blanc; NV Barbera/Tempranillo/Syrah/Malbec Blend; NV Sangiovese/Merlot/Petit Syrah Blend
  • 2015 Rosé Layla
Barrel fermented and bone dry with aromes of apricot, tangerine, and jasmine. Hints of honeysuckle, peaches and pears followed by flavors of red apple and pear and just a hint of cinnamon on the finish. The perfect spring/summer wine
  • 2013 Sangiovese "Bandit's Blend"
A nose full of Cola (like Bottlecaps J), cedar, fig newton, plum, and anesthesia. Flavors of tobacco, cherry syrup, cumin with hints of licorice and cumin on the strong tannic finish. Pesto…with fresh heirloom tomatoes, snap peas, pine nuts and parmesan…
  • 2013 Syrah - Reserve
This 100% Syrah has a beautiful deep purple color with scents of vanilla, oak, black cherry, leather, bittersweet chocolate, and smoke. Flavors of black cherry, vanilla, and coffee. A full-bodied, rich and silky finish that lingers. 27 months in new oak. A wine that's so good we wish we could keep it all for ourselves!
  • 2013 Tempranillo "Oculea"
Chocolate, tobacco, coffee, smoke, stewed plums and cherries and violet on the nose. White chocolate, leather, tobacco, sweet black cherry, that finishes with a nice hint of cream soda and vanilla. Pair with some sweet BBQ’d baby backs and slaw.
  • 2013 Triple Threat
It's back! A wonderful blend of Tempranillo, Sangiovese, and Malbec. Aromas of dark cherry, black pepper, allspice, jalapeño, powdered vanilla (yes, powdered as opposed to beans or extract. We know, we're weird). Flavors of dark cherry, tea, with jalapeño on the finish. Tannic and acidic - perfect for food pairing. Try it with an heirloom tomato drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
