Winery
Located in the Spanish archways of El Paseo, Grassini Family Vineyards specializes in handcrafted Bordeaux varietals. Winemaker Bradley Long is producing estate Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. This label prides its self on itself on sustainable practices like water reclamation, solar panels and a night air cooling system. The tasting room hosts a barrel wood bar, leather high stools and iron décor. Enjoy the classic tasting flight for ($15) and the reserve tasting flight for ($45). This location also offers chocolate truffle tastings for an additional ($25) and olive oil tastings. This tasting room gladly receives four legged patrons with water dishes and dog treats.

2014 Equipo Red BlendThe team’s block of Cabernet Sauvignon was aged mostly in neutral oak with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc added for depth. Ripe raspberries and dark cherry show in this wine with black currant and caramel. This wine is drinking beautifully right now to share with family and friends or your “Equipo”!

2016 Happy Canyon Sauvignon BlancThe bouquet is filled with aromas of key lime zest, orange blossom and pineapple. Tropical, citrus and stone fruits balance with the brught acidity on the palate, with flavora of passion fruit, lemon curd, and apricot.

2014 Sauvignon Blanc ReserveThe 2014 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc matured for 16 months in a combination of new and neutral French Oak. The time aging in the new oak barrels helped the wine develop aromas of caramel and pie crust, plus a bit of granny smith apple retention from the vineyard. The new oak influence continues mid-palate with distinct notes of vanilla and coconut. These flavors beautifully complement the peach and apricot stone fruits, lemon curd, and pear, which are quintessential “Sauvignon Blanc.” The depth in structure from barrel aging and omnipresent acidity strikes an alluring balance, with a long and smooth finish.
