The Viognier comes from the Hoyt Family Vineyard located in the heart of the Willow Creek area. The Grenache Blanc is grown at the Live Oak Vineyard, the northern neighbor of Hoyt Family. The Roussanne comes from the Caliza Vineyard which lies between Hoyt and Live Oak. These Templeton Gap District vineyards offer the premier combination of chalky soil and cooler temperatures for producing balanced and nuanced white Rhône varietals.

Beautifully deep dark reds and purples indicate the massive nature of our Estate Bordeaux blend. The warm dry vintage is expressed by ripe aromas of figs, plums, and heavy florals filling the nose. Bright acids and fall spice from Cab Franc and Merlot combine with dark fruits from fully ripe Petit Verdot to build a simply colossal wine. Huge tannins from extended maceration fill the mid-palate before the wine turns more savory and elegant. Perfectly integrated French Oak accentuates our signature chalky mineral finishing notes, marking this wine as one of the truest expressions of our terroir.

The two varieties also showcase opposite tannin profiles, producing a wine containing both mouth coating fully ripe tannins as well as spicier bittersweet cocoa notes. The weighty upfront dark fruit combines seamlessly with brooding tannins full of blackberry, tar and mineral loam. Notes of smokey cedar from the French oak integrates perfectly with natural skin and seed tannin to create the signature expansive finish of our Moose bottlings.

2012 Signature D Cabernet Sauvignon
The dark, opaque ruby color gives a good indication of the level of extraction achieved in this wine. The nose is heavy with dark fruits and essential oil of spring flowers. This is followed by strong varietal flavors of dark chocolate, cassis and spice. Full, round, tannins produce the trademark rich chalky finish that our soil imparts on the wine. While very rewarding to drink now, will easily cellar for up to twelve additional years.

The 2013 Syrah Devil's Canyon, which includes 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, spent 25 months in 40% new French oak, with no racking. Notes of spice, underbrush, plum and blueberry all flow from this medium to full-bodied, nicely textured, slightly exotic Syrah that has nice concentration and a pretty, focused style on the palate.

Presenting a subtle shade or pink and orange, our 2015 Vin Gris is an intentionally graceful take on rosé. Hints of honeydew melon and red berry mingled with fresh cut citrus fill the nose. On the palate, full flavors of strawberries and cherries are perfectly balanced by wonderful acidity. Simply put, a perfect wine for light spring and summer lunches under the sun.

2014 Zinfandel Kate's Vineyard
Starts with a complex mix of rhubarb pie, vanilla, and earthier black olive scents filling the glass. The upfront fruit fill the palate with ripe bramble berries and black licorice while heavier notes of fig and mocha create a surprisingly immense mouthfeel for a zinfandel. Refreshing acidity lights the finish while combing near the end with deeply toasted American oak creating a massive yet balanced wine.
