  • 2013 Azimuth
Josh Raynolds of Vinous says, "Inky purple. Ripe blue fruit, vanilla and allspice aromas show very good clarity and pick up smoky nuance with air. Lush and open-knit, offering sweet boysenberry and candied plum flavors that are sharpened and given spine by juicy acidity. Lush and creamy yet energetic as well, finishing very long, with resonating smokiness and gentle tannins..."
  • 2011 Azimuth
"The 2011 Azimuth is a blend of Grenache/ 30% Syrah, 2Mourvedre and the balance Petite Sirah and Tempranillo. Aged 18 months in French oak, it has layers of black raspberry, crushed berries, flower, pepper and licorice to go with a medium to full-bodied, seamless and elegant feel on the palate. I love the overall purity and texture here, and this is another outstanding wine from Carl. It will evolve gracefully through 2021. Carl Bowker continues to knock it out of the park with these Caliza releases. They’re unabashedly Paso in style, and not for the faint of heart, but they’re smoking wines and are a joy to drink."
  • 2014 Azimuth
Presents a medium to deep garnet-purple color and broody, earthy nose of warm black berries and black plums plus suggestions of moosy bark, loam and underbrush. The full-bodied palate reveals perfumed layers and plenty of savory interest to add to the und

  • 2012 Cohort
This wine is packed full of dark, rich blueberries coated with chocolate and layers of bold black fruit urging their way over your palate.  It’s followed by sweet notes of vanilla with rustic grippy tannins allowing for a complete and well balanced blend.
  • 2011 Cohort
The 2011 Cohort is another superb blend from this estate that does everything right. Made from 58% Syrah and the rest equal parts Petite Sirah/ Tempranillo and Mourvedre, it has some earthy, leather and peppery notes to go with beautiful cassis, raspberry, licorice and crushed rock-like aromas and flavors. This leads to a full-bodied, layered and concentrated wine that has building tannin, beautiful purity of fruit and an overall elegant, focused style. As with all of these new releases, it will evolve gracefully on its purity and balance."
  • 2013 Cohort
This densely colored wine begins with aromatics reminiscent of coffee grounds, tar, black tea and black cherry compote. Mocha, smoked meats, anise and crème de cassis flavors are gorgeous. Intense, with lovely fruit weight, this wine is a gorgeous blend.
  • 2013 Companion
Jeb Dunnuck of The Wine Advocate says, "I love the 2013 Companion and it's another terrific red made with a fair chunk of Cabernet Sauvignon, blended with Syrah and offers gorgeous notes of cassis, toasted spice, licorice and lead pencil shavings in a rich, medium to full-bodied, concentrated and beautifully balanced style."
  • 2011 Companion
Flint, dark chocolate, and blue fruits flood the nose of this wine, a mid-palate that dances with black current and cabernet sized tannins finally lingers to a cherry mocha finish that will leave you swearing this wine is your new best friend!

  • 2015 Pink
The 2015 Pink is a blend of estate Grenache/ Mourvèdre and Syrah. The fruit was fermented in neutral French Oak and stainless steel barrels to keep the fruit flavors bright and fresh. Not your everyday rosé, but rather a special Pink wine to be enjoyed with friends on a hot summer day or with your holiday meals
  • 2016 Pink
A perfect wine for your holiday parties or sipping in the hot tub.
  • 2012 Primitivo
Primitivo is a clone of Zinfandel and a variety best know from southern Italy. This wine has all the characteristics you would expect from a big Zinfandel. It is powerful and expressive wine and loaded with tons of dried plum, cranberry and cherry aromas coupled with licorice, roasted coffee bean and big fruit flavors.
  • 2013 Primitivo
Huge inky black fruit, spice and white pepper; layered and rich on the palate with “jammy” black cherries, chanterelles, and hints of mocha making this wine extremely expressive yet still retain its soft texture.  The full body and big power make this a perfect match for meats and roasts, perfect for those backyard bbq’s in spring and summer.
  • 2012 Reserve Syrah
The 2012 Reserve Syrah is Caliza's first ever reserve wine. It was produced from eight, hand-selected barrels of the very best Estate Syrah from the 2012 harvest. Red Dense and powerfully built, yet plush and focused, with floral blueberry, licorice and crushed stone aromas and rich flavors of boysenberry and smoky peppered beef. The tannins are big but supple
  • 2013 Sympatico
  • 2011 Syrah
An estate Syrah which is a blend of four of the six clones we grow. For those that geek out about this stuff as much as we do this is a blend of clones 877, Estrella, 174 and Alban(1). Regardless of the clones this is another Caliza powerhouse and expresses our beautiful site perfectly. You will experience granite, cinnamon spice, black and red fruits and powerful aromatics with this vivacious Syrah. The mid-palate tannins and textures will linger all the way through the finish and together with the flavors and aromas will keep you coming back for more. A healthy few hour decant will help to enhance your experience. Enjoy!
  • 2013 Syrah
A great balance between power and finesse, the 2013 exhibits amazing richness with the fruit characters of blueberry, boysenberry, and dark plum coupled with nicely integrated tannins, a waft of pipe tobacco, and mouthwatering acidity. An expression of rich and spicy herbs and black licorice add to the fullness and depth of this wine as it coats and builds to an impressive finish. Decant this baby for an hour or two and enjoy with a hearty meal or alone with someone special.
  • 2014 Syrah
Purple color to go with a big, rich black fruited, spice and peppered meat-driven style. It's an inky, blackbuster styled beauty that has sweet tannin, good freshness and tons of character.
