  • 2013 Backbone Syrah/Magnum
    Curtains of dark velvet evoke heady fruit-driven aromatics of black cherry cola, wild blueberry, sweet spearmint and clove tobacco. Chewy tannin and savory spice blanket the palate, creating a focused foundation laced with fresh fig, boysenberry reduction, dusty violet and hints of Earl Gray tea. The deep finish echos graphite minerality accompanied by persistent flavors of stewed blackberry, mocha and toasted hazelnut crunch.
  • 2012 Backbone Syrah/Magnum
    "Glass-staining ruby. Blackberry, cola, violet and woodsmoke on the perfumed nose. Fleshy, palate-coating dark berry flavors pick up cracked pepper and floral pastille qualities with airy. Finishes smoky and very long, with pliant tannins adding shape to the wine's lush dark, clinging fruit." 91 points - Vinous
  • 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon/Magnum
    "Opaque ruby. Heady aromas of dark berries, smoky minerals and incense are lifted by a suggestion of black pepper. Sweet, dense and seamless on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, with juicy acidity giving focus to the sweet plum jam and blueberry flavors. A smoky note builds in the glass and carries through a long, juicy finish that's framed by smooth, slow-building tannins. This suave wine is surprisingly approachable but clearly has the material for aging."
  • 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon/Magnum
    The nose suggests a bouquet of black cherry, cedar shavings, crème de cassis and crushed cardamom seed. Layers of tart red plum, stewed tomato paste, dried herbs and ripe raspberry envelope the palate, while subtle tannin and a bright acidity further enhance flavors of steeped black tea and dried cranberry. A combined essence of seasoned leather, sweet pipe tobacco and whispers of balsamic glaze creates a lingering finish.

    "Inky ruby. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes ripe cherry, blackcurrant, incense and vanilla, with a smoky mineral nuance adding vivacity. Stains the palate with intense dark berry preserve and licorice flavors, with mocha and vanilla notes adding sweetness. Smoothly blends power and vivacity and finishes very long and sappy, with velvety tannins coming up to add shape and grip."
  • 2012 Dessert Syrah
    Produced from ultra-ripe Syrah from our estate vineyard, our 2012 Dessert Wine is massive and rich, with flavors and aromatics that remind us all of wintertime in Paso Robles. Warm notes of crushed rose petal, dried raspberry, orange-almond liqueur, potpourri, juniper berry, and cinnamon sticks fill the nose. The sticky palate is full of rich fruit, with caramel-coated raisin, candied orange, warm brown spice, and grated chili chocolate flavors on a backbone of well structured tannins that carry through on an endless (and we mean endless) finish.
  • 2014 Downpour
    The winning blend from our 2015 wine club member Rhone blending party, this Rhone blend exudes opultent aromas of poached blueberry, dark cherry, black licorice and aged leather present a brewny yet refined bouquet.  The balanced palate expresses concentrated flavors of stewed plum, sweet tobacco, campfire smoke and flecks of black pepper.  Spicy, savory and structured, the finish is wound with polished tannin and graphite minerality.  Enjoy now until 2023.
  • 2013 Late Harvest Roussanne
    Aromas of white peach, crushed honeysuckle and orange blossom greet the nose. A viscous texture coats the palate accompanied by rich flavors of honeycomb, lemon meringue pie and candied pineapple. Fresh acidity weaves amongst full fruit flavors unmasking marzipan and Meyer lemon marmalade essence. Whispers of orange rind zest and minerality nuances linger throughout the persisting finish.  Serve with peach tart or crème brûlée.
  • 2013 Malbec
    Our first-ever Malbec!  Aromas of ripe sugar plum an blueberry syrup are wrapped in a bed of wild iris, toasted tobacco, new leather and laced with vanilla bean and mocha scents.  Tightly woven acidity and dusty tannin provide a synergy and balance for the full and generous palate.  A finely oaked finish is supported with suggestions of black licorice, carob chip, molasses and sage flavors that smoothly fade into a lasting memory.  Enjoy now until 2023.
  • 2015 Marsanne
    Multidimensional aromas of Bosc pear, rock melon, tropical kiwi and candied lemon arrive center-stage. Bursts of freshly squeezed lime, citrus blossom, honeycomb and sweet basil  interweave with layered essence of cashew butter, Mandarin zest and the tang of lemon grass. Bright acidity and stone minerality set the tone for a refreshing, lingering encore.
  • 2014 Marsanne
    Cold fermented in stainless steel tanks, the 2014 Marsanne features essences of golden delicious apple, spiced nectarine, and Linden flower.  Notes of clove honey and crushed lime blossom provide the foundation of a full yet refreshing palate.  Hints of Asian pear and honeydew melon underscored with a soft minerality lead to a finish infused with nuances of kiwi, fresh lime zest and raw cashew paste.  Enjoy now.
  • 2014 NEWCS
    The winning blend from our 2015 wine club member Bordeaux blending party, all five Bordeaux varietals are harmonized in this blend.  The nose represents sugar plum, red currant, boysenberry, tomato paste and cinnamon.  Candied cranberry, ripe raspberry, and eucalyptus ride upon high-toned acidity keeping the palate bright and food friendly.  The finish is complete with essence of tart cherry espresso bean and wild iris.  Enjoy until 2022.
  • 2014 Paderewski Zinfandel
    Juicy bramble berry, plum preserves, stewed strewberry and fennel seed entice the nose.  The palate is full and rips, reminiscent of warm rhubarb pie and allspice.  A tight core of tannin and vibrant acidity are framed by flavors of star anise, vanilla bean, sweet blueberry and raspberry compote.  The finish is lengthy, layered and lingering.  Drink now until 202

    Mirrors of gold reflect hints of Asian pear preserves, melon meringue, candied quince and hawthorn blossom.  Essence of freshly whipped butter cream, Meyer lemon custard and white peach balance upon a full yet delicate palate.  Soft acidity and stony minerality weave flavors of crushed chamomile, baking spice and toasted cashews that herald a lingering, layered finish kissed by honey tea
  • 2013 Rockin One/Magnum
    A harmonious blend of Mourvedre, 29% Grenache/ 24% Syrah and 6% Petite Sirah evoke aromas of stewed boysenberries, dried raspberry, pipe tobacco, clove and orange zest. A balanced core provides the foundation for nuances of plum preserves, fresh olalliberry, tart cranberry and vanilla candy to dance across the palate. Complex, layered flavors glide atop soft, integrated tannins and a bright acidity highlighting notes of dusted potpourri, black licorice, freshly cut spearmint and a ghost of jasmine incense.
