Located in downtown Lompoc the Wine Factory is a joint tasting room for Turiya Wine and CORE Wine. Bordeaux varietals are a labor of love for winemaker Angela Soleno, who produces boutique wine with popular reviews. Don't miss the opportunity to try Angela’s single varietal Petit Verdot. Commonly added to Bordeaux blends for tannin and floral aromas, Petit Verdot is rarely offered solo. Turiya Wines are poured 11 a.m.-6pm. Friday through Saturday for $15 without an appointment. Tastings by appointment ($25) and cheese plates ($15) are available with advance notice. This location offers record release parties for Slip Music. Blends are created by a recording artist and featured at a live event. Check out the Lompoc Wine Factory Facebook for upcoming artists and events.

  • 2012 Cabernet Franc
Make room for the Queen! The 2012 Cabernet Franc's gentle texture dances around in your mouth like silk. Soft, with a graceful elegance - qualities that reflect her royal lineage. Benevolently giving, without expectation. A true queen from the earth's spirit. The fruit tones are intertwined in adobe and balanced nicely with a slight hickory finish. Fabulously food friendly wine (what Queen doesn't enjoy a good feast?) with great aging potential. Long live the Queen!
  • 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon
This is a firecracker of a wine. Lively and enticing, vibrant flavors of cedar and boysenberry, it is sexy like leather and lace. Extremely aggressive, extremely age worthy. I tried to tame this little bitch with extra aging in barrel but she is a fickle beast and didn't like that much, so take her home and try her there. She is my prized beauty. Really good. Really f*ing good.
  • 2012 Dark and Dreamy
From the first touch of the tongue to its passage through the mouth to its lush satisfying finish this is a wine that brings to mind long tables filled with friends and family laughing, hugging, telling stories of long times past and immersed in each other's company. Pop a cork on this Dark and Dreamy wine anytime to bring those visions into life.
  • 2011 Golden God
Who say's God's not a girl? The Golden God (or goddess), is a beacon of hope, like a fog horn early in the morning. This gentle beauty is a symbol of female strength. She exhibits the darker undersides of the earth, perhaps where a volcano once erupted. This wine was aged for 44 months, gaining wisdom and strength. Are you feeling powerful yet?
  • 2009 Hither
This one beckons you, inviting, enticing, inspiring, with up-front flavors of raspberry, plum and cherry inviting the front of your mouth and your mind to go deeper and darker letting the chocolaty earth unravel and unfold and reveal itself to you. Don't you want some? Come hither.
  • 2012 Inner Peace
At Turiya things are done by hand, and barrels are lifted up high with the forklift and emptied into a tank for blending a few days before it goes into bottle. This wine was a barrel of each grape (Sangio, P.V. and Merlot) added to the mix. Why this combination? I wanted a wine with the jamminess of the Merlot, the lush and mouth-filling character of the Sangiovese and the bursting and lingeringfinish of the Petit Verdot. Equal parts provides a balanced experience.
  • 2012 Kindred Spirit
This was the first year Turiya has produced a Cabernet Franc. I wanted to create a blend that had a majority of this grape as the driving force behind the wine. The Cab Franc lends mineralogy and a supple, woodsy character. I blended the Merlot and Sangiovese to add a bit of layered fruit and complexity to the wine. All around this is a fine wine that you can proudly share with loved ones or keep all for yourself.
  • 2009 Malbec
You can be proud of your swag if you’ve got this beauty in your collection, this Paso delight follows tradition, (my tradition) gentle and nuanced with sexy thick, dark, briery tones that make your mouth water. Drenched with flavors of raspberry mocha that continually evolve in your glass. I am salivating as I write this. Great food wine to try with lamb chops or a zesty pasta dish. Get your swag on.
  • 2012 Merlot
Here is a wine dedicated to all the broken hearts out there - don’t get down, love is on it’s way! 4 years of barrel aging on this gorgeous wine was well worth it; and so will be your next great love. Sometimes heartbreak is perpetuating; pushing us into the light where we really belong; the darkest part of day is always just before dawn - right? This one helped me get through the night. Maybe it can help you too. Soft, supple and jammy.
  • 2008 Perpetual Bliss
You know you want it. Try this sexy blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon and see if it can take you there, with flavors of blackberry, cassis and chocolate, interlaced with the delicateness of Elton John'sTiny Dancer. She lingers on and on seemingly perpetually providing bliss upon your tongue. Enjoy.
  • 2011 Petit Verdot
Ah Petit, my darling. Do you know her? Perhaps you’ve seen her around? Probably not. Gals like this are hard to find. By the time you take her home to meet the parents doubt settles in - suddenly you aren’t sure if you should show her off or keep her as your little secret love. She doesn’t like to be in the limelight and she doesn’t want to be shared. She wants you all for herself. What will you do?
  • 2009 Petite Verdot
Drink me. Alice in Wonderland style... dark and alluring yet, obvious berries that were tossed and turned, crushed and nurtured by a woman's hand. This potion will make you feel big, hopefully it won't put your head through the roof.
  • 2011 Sangiovese
In this case, the wine fell for the barrel. Then after several years together the barrel left her. Her initially sweet, charming demeanor now reflects something more cautious in the glass as you take her in and promise to love her. Her heart is with the barrel. You can still taste the oak on her lips as you swallow her up. She is vibrant and concentrated all at once. She is deliberate. She is gentle. She is loving. Layered with notes of caramel, rhubarb, candy-corn, coastal sage and mint. This is the one you've been waiting for.
  • 2011 Shapeshifter
Shapeshifters are known to be bewitching and mysterious. Just look at the dark color she shows off. Then put her up to your nose… lush, enticing tones of caramel and coffee or is it cocoa and cranberry? Who is she? Who cares - you’re in love. But be careful with this crafty one, things are not always what they seem.
  • 2008 Syrah
100% free run juice, separated from the skins of the grape after crush but before pressing. The delicate juice was barreled for 36 months in newer French oak, giving this wine a luxurious, soft mouth-feel. Exuding tones of blackberry, dried figs and the underside of the earth. Get your hands on this one if you can.
