  • 2012 Blanc de Blancs
Chardonnay from our estate is all about taut minerality. The lean, sandy soils of Presqu’ile make for Chardonnay that is crystalline and finely etched, with clean lines. Perhaps the ultimate expression of this character is our Blanc de Blancs. Picked early, when the balance between bright acid and complex flavors begins to reach its apex, this is Presqu’ile Chardonnay in surround sound. Hand riddled, hand disgorged, hand bottled and hand labeled.

  • 2012 Brut Cuvée
Bringing together the best of both worlds, our Brut Cuvée showcases the complementary nature of our Estate Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Marrying the crisp, mineral, oceanic nuances of our Chardonnay to the floral, red-fruited beauty of our Pinot Noir, this speaks to the character of Presqu’ile in a way we have not seen previously.

  • 2009 Chardonnay
The wine completed native yeast fermentation and native malo-lactic conversion in barrel, with lees stirring two to three times each week. The Chardonnay’s seamless integration, weight and round mouthfeel are products of its barrel fermentation and the stirring of the lees. This wine presents complex aromas of melon, pineapple and green apple. On the palate, subtle spice is complemented by a pleasing freshness.
  • 2008 Chardonnay
The wine’s white peach, ripe apricot, caramel and lime notes make this Chardonnay very difficult for us to put down.
  • 2015 Chardonnay
Our 2015 Santa Maria Valley Chardonnay displays the complexity and poise we have come to expect from the deep, sandy soils of western Santa Maria Valley. We employ traditional, natural techniques - native yeast fermentation, native malolactic conversion and sur lie aging. Practices which elevate and enhance the distinctive character of this region, accenting its fine balance between richness and vivacity.
  • 2014 Chardonnay
The 2014 Chardonnay (Santa Maria Valley) is bright and nicely focused throughout. Lemon peel, white flowers and almond are front and center. This is a soft, open-knit, gracious style, especially for Santa Maria, where the Chardonnays are often a bit more pointed.

  • 2012 Chardonnay
This begins with round, lush scents of honey butter on hot toast and roasted almond. The initial flavors are light and fresh, with peach and slight guava. That tropicality emerges even more throughout the long, lingering finish
  • 2014 Chardonnay
As our site has gained maturity, the distinctive character of our Chardonnay has become apparent, and beginning with the 2013 vintage we felt it was time to broadcast this singular voice. The sandy soils of our Estate result in a taut, mineral-laced expression of Chardonnay, an old-world sense of balance and tension allied to an aromatic and textural profile that is unmistakably Presqu’ile. Though radiant now, ultimately, this is one for the cellar.

Light, bright gold. Perfumed, mineral-accented scents of fresh pear, citrus fruits, iodine and smoky minerals. Dry and taut on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering powerful orchard fruit flavors with suggestions of honeysuckle and chamomile. Closes with very good energy and cut, leaving a bitter lemon pith note behind
  • 2011 Chardonnay
Our 2011 Santa Maria Valley Chardonnay displays excellent balance, weight and integration due to extended barrel aging and lees stirring. As always, native yeasts complete fermentation, which adds complexity on the palate and nose. Barrel aging was completed in predominately neutral french oak.

  • 2014 Pinot Noir
Bien Nacido is one of Santa Maria’s most legendary sites. Despite its close proximity to Presqu’ile, it makes vastly different wines from our Estate, and we were compelled to explore these differences by crafting our own expression of Bien Nacido. The vineyard’s rocky soils make for a dense, sappy, structured rendition of Pinot Noir, one whose exotic notes of Seville orange and 5-spice are singular within our lineup.

It is this spice-driven character that we prize so deeply, and which made us fall in love with this region.

Vivid red. Energetic red berry, rose and Asian spice aromas are deepened by notes of cola and licorice. Taut and linear on entry, then fleshier and broader in the mid-palate, offering sappy raspberry and bitter cherry flavors and a touch of mocha. Shows impressive energy and thrust, finishing on a note of tangy berry skin, with lingering spiciness and just a hint of dusty tannins

  • 2014 Pinot Noir
2014 marks our fourth release of Pinot Noir from this vineyard, located three miles north of Cambria. In it, one tastes the severity of this site, with a palpable sense of its oceanic origins manifested through crystalline fruit and floral nuances. Four inter-planted Dijon clones and sandy, cobbled soils lend structure, minerality and an inherent earthiness to this wine. We are proud to be one of only two wineries sourcing fruit from this exciting coastal site suited so perfectly to Pinot Noir.

This wine maintains excellent color, fine tannic structure and good body.
  • 2010 Pinot Noir
This Pinot Noir possesses a deep ruby color bursting with intense aromas of black cherry, blackberry, cassis and hints of cardamom. The classic ‘Santa Maria spice’, enhanced by the whole cluster fermentation, accentuates earthy tones with a hint of well-integrated oak in the background and fruit flavors similar to the aromatics. A silky texture and fine tannins linger on the finish with enough acidity and body to support years of cellar aging
  • 2009 Pinot Noir
We relish the wine’s long finish, which tapers with hints of cherry, tobacco and brilliant minerality.
  • 2014 Pinot Noir
Tart cranberry, wild thyme, olive and Indian spices show on the nose of this appellation blend, a great representation of the cool-climate styles this winery is known for. Kalamata olive and Mediterranean spices arise on the palate, with baked fig, orange rinds, preserved lemon and chaparral combining for a tagine-like expression
  • 2015 Pinot Noir
We prize the complex combination of fruit, earth and spice, the qualities which made us fall in love with this region. When compared to our single vineyard offerings, this wine is less tightly wound, offering early enjoyment without lacking the bones to age.

  • 2011 Rosé
Our Sparkling Rosé is the most savory of our sparkling wines, with a textural depth that speaks to its soil-driven nature. Showcasing small red fruits and floral brightness in its aromatic profile, it delivers a new expression of Presqu’ile Pinot Noir, illuminating our site in a way that we find captivating and singular.
  • 2016 Rosé

  • 2015 Rosé
I think this 2015 Presqu'ile is the best rosé in California. It's refrigerated sunlight. Salty sea spray. Asian spices. Strawberry stardust. Flashing minerality. While most good rosés are delicious, the Presqu'ile is something wholly more: delicious, sophisticated, and capable of exciting your mind as much as your palate.
  • 2014 Rosé
Comprised of 100% Pinot Noir from Presqu’ile Vineyard, our Rosé is evocative of Santa Maria Valley in summer, capturing so much of what we fell in love at this site: a crisp ocean wind on a warm summer day, perfectly ripe strawberries, a BBQ off in the distance; all are suggested in this crisp, fresh wine.

  • 2015 Sauvignon Blanc
Light, clean and fresh on the nose, this bottling from a rather extremely sited vineyard on the western end of the appellation shows cut lawn, lemongrass, squeezed lime and wet concrete on the nose. The palate is zesty and sour at first, but a honeydew element warms it up nicely.

Dry and nervy on the palate, offering lively Meyer lemon and pear flavors and a hint of bitter quinine. Closes spicy and long, with an echo of fresh citrus fruits and very good clarity
  • 2012 Sauvignon Blanc
Pale yellow. Fresh Meyer lemon and melon on the nose, with notes of pear skin and white pepper adding complexity. Juicy and broad, with good depth and power to its honeydew and orchard fruit flavors. The lemony quality comes back on the finish, adding lift and finishing bite. Fleshy and vivacious." (Made mostly from fruit grown on the winery's estate vineyard, with 10% sourced from the Riverbench vineyard; aged for 7 months in neutral French oak)
  • 2011 Sauvignon Blanc
2011 marks the first vintage that includes Sauvignon Blanc from our estate vineyard. Fruit from the Riverbench Vineyard completes the blend and lends a slightly more ripe, fruit-forward component to the wine. This straw gold wine features aromas of gooseberry and grapefruit with hints of cut grass and fig. Subtle notes of stone fruit and mango are complemented by flinty minerality and a well-rounded mid-palate from aging on the lees.

Aged 24 months in neutral French oak barrels, we find this Syrah immediately accessible yet made to age.
