    The nose is treated to a complex array of red, blue and black fruits. Secondary aromas of white peppercorns and purple flowers add to the complexity. The balance and seamless texture is a result of a hands off approach to winemaking allowing the grapes to express themselves. The high acid and soft open tannins help confirm this wines overall balance and bright seamless texture.
  • 2010 Angst
    The nose is saturated with notes of Bing cherries, currant, cassis, and red fruits. Upon tasting, the pallet is reminiscent of vanilla, red licorice, spices, rose petals and red fruits such as cherries. This wine has a supple finish with good length and intense fruit and spice. A well-structured wine with a friendly balance of fruit and acid, this food friendly wine is elegant and will age nicely in the cellar.
  • 2011 Aporia
    The nose is treated to notes of crushed almonds and fresh lemon zest. Followed by, a hint of fresh cut white flowers. The palate experiences extremely ripe almost bruised red apples with suggestions of quince. This is confirmed by the soft chalk notes on the long complex finish. The harmony of alcohol and neutral oak make a seamless texture that expresses the concentration of this wine.
  • 2012 Aporia
    The hints of hazelnut oil and marzipan showcase the fifty percent use of Marsanne. The citrus driven components expose the Grenache Blanc portion of this wine. This wine has a fresh but creamy soft texture. The seamless notes baked macadamia nuts combine with the tropical notes of banana to create ultimate complexity. The bright focused acidity adds to the complexity with a freshness not often found with these two grapes.

    Hints of crushed blueberries and fresh leather expose the nose to the fifty percent Mourvedre used in the wine. Fresh cracked black pepper and smoked meats and ripe black berries treat the nose to the Syrah portion of this blend. High acid combine with chalky tannins to add complexity. The ripe black fruit such as compote of blueberries and blackberries help create a soft texture. The long lasting delicate finish on this shows how ripe fruit with a firm structure create perfect balance.

    The nose is covered with fresh cut lilacs and crushed strawberries. The light pale pink rim displays the purity of this wine. The first taste exhibits pressed blueberries followed by ripe Bing cherries and dried strawberries. The structure of the wine is seamless showing round tannins, bright acidity and moderate alcohol. The combination of fruit purity and proper vinification methods is a testament of the Two Moons project and food friendly way to approach wine.

    The dark core deceives the taster. Although very ripe the proprietary blend reveals how light these grapes can be. The res fruit combined with black make the nose keep searching for new flavors- ripe black cherries, stewed black berries and red plums lead the way. The structure of this wine doesn't disappoint. The palette is treated to an array of different flavors, steeped Christmas spices, macerated red and black fruits, crushed black peppercorns and hints of dark chocolate.

    This Zinfandel dessert wine from Margarita Vineyards has lush, sweet aromas and flavors of ripe black cherries and plum jam. It has a solid core of fruit, balance, and velvety tannins. Enjoy this wine with duck a l’orange, smoked ham or game, risottos, crème brulee, cheesecake, flourless chocolate cake and fine cigars.

    A bouquet of honeysuckle and orange blossoms dominate the nose. When tasted a rich orange oil texture is discovered. This wine offers a rich and floral texture with a dry finish. The high natural acidity found in the wine maintains wonderful freshness that keeps the fruit notes very bright. the long lasting finish shows how concentrated the grapes where when harvested. This wine offers a fresh but ripe expression to what California Chenin Blanc can offer.

    Full-bodied and intense with bold tannins. Wild Berry aromas and flavors with a touch of anise. Spicy and well structured tannins, with smoky aromas. Full bodied with nice acidity. Pair with grilled steaks, Sheppard's pie, and prime rib.

    Fresh aromas of honeysuckle, eucalyptus leaves, dried stone fruit and lavender; along with crushed rock and herbs de province on the nose. Leading into a long minerality finish. Pair with lemon meringue pie, ceviche, shrimp cocktail, and lime baked halibut
  • Grenache Sparkling Wine
    Light straw rim, leads to golden core, displaying proper fruit ripeness for the 100% Grenache Noir. The nose is dictated by freshly shaved lemon zest with recently picked green apples, hints of toasted Brioche displays complexity. On the pallet green apples are confirmed and lead the way into what becomes a complex array of flavor. This includes rich lemon mousse. The structure of this wine sets it apart from other California sparkling wines, showcasing high levels of acidity, and proper mousse structure. Finally, and exclusive to Clavo, we decided to add no sugar, which preserves the terroir found in the wine.

    The ink color of the wine showcases extended maceration and full ripeness. The nose is covered with dark chocolate and black currants. Hints of ripe blackberries and blueberries are to be found. The soft open tannins helps create a round texture that is brightened by the bright acidity
  • 2011 Syrah Reckless Moment
    Plum colors rim with an opaque crimson core. Fresh pressed blackberries and raspberries dominate the nose. A slight suggestion of fresh purple lilac buds. The palate is coated with crushed black peppers and chocolate shavings. Confirmation of red fruit is evident in a fresh and vibrant manor. The wines red fruit and spice provides a romantic undertone. The moderate alcohol and tannins provide good body and will allow the wine to be enjoyed in the next five years. The acidity combined with slight hints of cloves from used French oak add complexity to this good example of a retrained Paso Robles based Syrah

    This wine has lots of curves with a lively fragrant blend of pineapple, ripe banana and pear aromas. Inviting tropical fruit flavors draw you into this well-balanced wine.     Inviting aromas of honeysuckle, tart lemons, and lemon grass. Luscious, with a full mouth feel, and bright acidity on the palate. Excellent paired with mustard vinaigrette salmon, pasta with lemon capers, and roasted lemon chicken
  • 2010 Zinfandel-Desperado
    The red fruit dominates the nose including steeped strawberries and crushed red plums. Hints of Asian spices can be discovered. The balance of this wine is consistent with Neil's winemaking. It shows ripe fruit with restrained structure. The palette is treated to a diverse selection of red fruits, free-run strawberries, red currents, hints of bing cherries. The oak showcases the affinity this grape has for added structure. The maintained acidity helps keep this wine bright and balanced. This is a great example of ripe fruit with proper structure.
