Located in Livermore Valley, Mitchell Kats Winery is producing single-vineyard wines from Livermore Valley grapes. Winemaker Mitchell Kats is producing Sparkling White Brut, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. The classic tasting flight ($10) includes our favorite selection, a Petite Sirah with crushed boysenberries. Reserve tasting flights ($15) are offered on the weekends and poured in the larger glasses featured in our pictures. Selections can never be guaranteed, but we arrived unannounced to find reds aged over 5 years and a ten year port on the reserve tasting list. This location has upscale stemware and a tasting bar that is standing only. Also pictured private tables for smaller groups, picnic tables and lawn games.
