Deeply colored in the glass, our 100% Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon shows intense blackcurrant, cherry plus coarse tobacco in the nose. With a little herbal and mint sitting squarely on the palate, this big red isn’t shy with its chewy, mouth-filling structure and texture. Its finish is delightfully long; there’s enough acidity and punch here to carry the bold flavors up and through.

Here’s one for those Chardonnay lovers out there—it’s full of fruit, toast, butter and all things delicious! Opening with bushels of apples, pears and white peaches, this lemon-yellow wine delivers a backing of toasty char and buerre blanc balancing its fruity aromas. The mid-palate is crisp and tangy. Textured creamy notes of fresh sourdough round out the mouthfeel, mid-weight with tension. The finish is lengthy and reveals the French oak used here. Drink now through 2018 to best capture its freshness.

2013 Micro-Lot Reserve Cabernet Franc
Classic Cabernet Franc. On the nose the wine opens with red berry fruit, herbaceous green tones and hints of coffee. The palate follows suit with flavors of raspberries, red cherries and cocoa. Like other fruit grown at Casa the wines have a minerality brought on by the gravelly soils of the site. Medium bodied with high tuned acidity and gripping tannins suggest a wine that will age well!

2012 Micro-Lot Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
I truly love the wines of Smith Ranch and Casa de Vinas individually, but together they are an absolute force. The structure of Smith with the opulent fresh fruit from Casa makes for a wine that shows off all of the things we love about youthful Cabernet, but has major aging power as the wines are produced with vibrant acidity. Pop the bottle, get some air on it, and enjoy it over the course of an evening to watch the evolution take place in your glass.

2015 Micro-Lot Reserve Chardonnay
The 2015 Fraser Howard Chardonnay represents a benchmark vintage in our Chardonnay production. Since we started making wine in 07, Chardonnay has seen some major tweaks in our regimen and the overall outcome of the wines. The wine making process is a journey, and just like anything in life we have a tendency to overcompensate when we feel we need to swing the pendulum. From the richest style, back to a leaner citrusy style we went. At the end the pendulum sits in the middle, a balance of all worlds. The wine has just the right amount of richness while maintaining a balance of acid, wood and fruit all for you to have the best.

2013 Micro-Lot Reserve Malbec
The first year fruit from Casa was just amazing, and brings complexity to our portfolio and blending options for Supremacy. The Malbec from Casa De Vinas is highlighted by its red and black berry fruit and a sense of minerality. This is a vineyard driven note that comes from the distressed gravelly soils at Casa. As with all the fruit grown at this site, it has an inherent chocolate undertone that gives the wine a real sense of place.

2013 Micro-Lot Reserve Malbec
Indicative to its varietal, this 2013 Nottingham Cellars Malbec is lush with purple and dark fruit aromatics of plum and blackberries integrated well with notes of oak, cinnamon and cloves. A savory, mouthwatering wine with flavors of dark fruit and tannins that increase towards the finish coating your mouth and leaving you with a lovely lingering aftertaste. Enjoy now or lay this wine down for years to come.

2014 Micro-Lot Reserve Merlot
Fragrant and bold, our 2014 Merlot opens with savory raspberry, plum, and mint mocha aromas. A bit of black cherry follows, layered on this varieties’ characteristically rich texture. There’s a certain juiciness here; red fruits expand on the oak driven long finish. While vanilla notes are apparent, they blend in nicely with more damsel, briar and berry flavor. Our Merlot combines a weighty feel with a voluptuous touch, a combination that is both strong and supple.

2013 Micro-Lot Reserve Petit Verdot
For the first time in 2012, we decided to bring in more Petit Verdot than needed for our Bordeaux blends and produced this single varietal offering. We were extremely happy with the results and decided to continue the trend in 2013 as well! On the nose, a medley of wild blackberries, raspberries and blueberries dipped in chocolate and rolled in ground coffee shavings. The palate follows suit with rich black fruit dominating. The wine is rich and mouth filling with a rustic tannic structure and high tuned acid driven red fruit undertones. The tannin and acid suggest the wine will lay down for some time.

2012 Micro-Lot Reserve Ralphi's Red Blend
The perfect crowd pleasing blend for any occasion. Ralphi’s is soft, supple and delicious and meant to be enjoyed over good times with good friends. Red berry fruit and cocoa lead the way and are met with vibrant fleshy tones of blueberry cobbler and a touch of coffee. Warning: It is not uncommon to grab a second bottle.

2014 Micro-Lot Reserve Wolfe of Livermore
Our first ever “right bank” inspired red blend, with Sachau Vineyard Merlot leading the way accompanied by Smith Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon and Casa de Vinas Malbec. While still very much in its youth, this style wine is brand new to Nottingham and we could not wait any longer to get it out into the world!! Created by our Assistant Winemaker Alex Wolfe, this namesake blend is complex, structured and is enjoyable now or can lay down for years to come!

Rose is enjoying a renaissance, allowing for a plethora of styles to emerge and succeed. Our 2016 is a Rose of primarily Merlot—its brambly plum and leafy character a nod to its parentage. But the comparison stops there. Electric pink with strawberry punch, our Rose is light bodied, tart, textured and dare we say, delightful. There’s a bit of pithy tang in the dry mid-palate adding appropriate complexity while maintaining its carefree appeal. Drink now.

Floral aromas plus white peach, melon meld with lime zest and racy acidity. Crisp and refreshing on the palate, this white finishes with pithy tropical notes.

2012 Supremacy Bordeaux Blend
2012 was a great year to produce age worthy Cabernet based blends. The wine has a dark red hue with excellent clarity. On the nose blackberries and boysenberries are wound together with cinnamon, allspice and herbaceous undertones. The palate follows suit with rich, dense chocolate covered cherries, ripe wild berries held together with lush tannins and a vibrant acidity. Decant an hour or two. Drink now or until 2035!!

2013 is, without question, the best set of growing circumstances we have come across in our short history in the region. The wines of this vintage exude richness and density while maintaining thier acid-driven purpose--a reflection of this region's ability to raise premium Bordeaux variety grapes.

2013 Vineyard Designate Cabernet Sauvignon
It is tough to find a more expressive site than Casa de Vinas, especially from the great vintages like 2013. The wine is exploding with aromatics of coffee, chocolate covered cherries, farmstead blueberry preserves, and highlighted by wild red berry and herbal undertones that give the wine depth. The wine is rich and dense with the classic gritty texture provided by the gravelly soils of this amazing vineyard. Many great years left in this wine. It will be fun to see how long it will lay down. Decant, serve slightly below room temp.
-
2013 Vineyard Designate Cabernet Sauvignon
The Smith Ranch’s inherent rustic, almost old world aromatics are driven by dried black cherry and earthy tones. The wines from this block are tannic and rich, showing off that rustic flair in their youth but age gracefully for years to come. There is an absolutely gorgeous wine in here, and it can be summoned now with a lengthy decant. But the patient one who lays this wine down for 8-10 years will unveil its true potential. A splash decant goes a long way, but a full 2 hour decant is worth it ... if you have the patience. Decant, serve slightly below room temp.

2013 Vineyard Designate Cabernet Sauvignon
Blackberry and cherry cola are met with earthy tones of gravel, wet slate and shale. The wine is soft on entry, driven by dark cherry fruit and rose petals with vanilla and spice underneath. The fine grained tannins and vibrant acidity are hallmarks of the Harris Tesla vineyard. It is enjoyable now but has the tools necessary for long term aging. A splash decant goes a long way, but a full 2 hour decant is worth it if you have the patience. Decant, serve slightly below room temp
