Located in Livermore Valley Las Positas has become popular for food and wine pairing. Food can help new drinkers identify the aromas the notes found in wine. If these concepts seem foreign we encourage you to visit Las Positas. The cost of food is included with your tasting fees and the staff is friendly. This location is notorious for specialty tasting lists. Selections rotate but we have seen specialty flights with Chocolate Truffles, Cheesecake, International Cheese and Bacon. Included with our review is the cheese board for the classic tasting flight ($15). This location also hosts multiple food and wine themed events throughout the year. The 2018 lineup includes blues and acoustic groups with handmade pizzas made on sight. No outside food at this time. Pets on a leash are welcome on the patio. This location is connected to the bike trail that runs throughout Livermore Wine County.

2013 Estate Reserve BarberaOur 2013 Reserve Barbera was aged for 22 months in French and American oak. It exhibits aromas of raspberry, fig, tobacco and spice. The palate is soft and lucious with flavors of blackberry, allspice, cherry and earth.
