    Light, golden yellow colors and vibrant hues. The 2013 Arroyo Vista Chardonnay shows ripe aromas and flavors of pineapple, pear and stone fruit with roasted coffee, nuts, crème fraiche and vanilla. The classic Burgundian winemaking techniques used, including alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in barrel, lees stirring and extended aging, contribute to the complex bouquet and add depth of palate weight and structure. Crisp acidity balances the opulent texture, enhances the ripe flavors, and pairs with foods from light to rich. Lobster rolls, grilled scallops, hazelnut crusted chicken and late summer vegetables like pumpkin, squash, corn and peppers.

    The 2016 J. Lohr Carol’s Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc is a very pale straw color, with enticing aromas of honeysuckle, daffodil, lemon verbena and grapefruit. It presents a refreshingly balanced palate of key lime and fig, followed by a long, elegant finish. Best served at 45 to 50 degrees.Pair with baby lettuces tossed with ruby grapefruit, avocado, and goat cheese, with a citrus vinaigrette. Also delicious with roasted halibut with a fresh lemon herb sauce.

    The savory Cabernet Sauvignon works with the blue fruited Petit Verdot in this blend to showcase a delicate hazelnut-like barrel bouquet. The natural sweetness is balanced by both the acidity and palate structure.Pairs well with blue cheeses, nuts, apple tart or tropical fruit desserts.
  • 2013 J. Lohr October Night Chardonnay
    The 2013 October Night Chardonnay has vibrant, light golden hues, with aromas of peaches, tropical fruit, orange blossom honey and vanilla. The winemaking techniques, used to enhance the spicy and exotic nature of this Chardonnay, include barrel fermentation in largely one-year-old French oak barrels in the coldest corner of our barrel room, followed by malolactic fermentation with lees stirring. This all contributed to a very attractive and complex bouquet with a soft, rich and seamless texture.Shellfish pasta dishes, salmon, roasted chicken, nuts and strong cheeses.

    This 2014 Painter Bridge Zinfandel is dark in color with a youthful red hue. Aromas are of loganberry fruit, dark roast coffee and cocoa. This wine delivers ripe, red fruit with good palate volume and roundness, along with that unique peppery quality that zinfandel is known for. Pairs well with pasta puttanesca, pizza or grilled meats.
