Napa Valley AVA
Find destination wineries, iconic labels, and vista views. We have divided Napa Valley by American Viticulture Area (AVA).A large majority of Napa wineries require an appointment. Winemakers in this region have strengthened their craft to compete with labels from Napa and Sonoma. Public roads are paved and include walking/biking trails that connect winery locations. Check out our map which illustrates the walking trails removed from vehicle traffic.

Paso Robles AVA
Paso Robles was California’s best kept secret twenty years ago. This location has arrived with destination wineries, two urban tasting districts, vineyard tours and back roads experiences. Paso Robles non-pretentious approach to wine makes this a great spot for wine beginners.

Edna Valley AVA
Edna Valley’s proximity to the beach makes this region a great weekend getaway. Cool weather Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc are served at vineyard locations along Highway 227. Avila Beach and Pismo Beach offer urban tasting rooms along the water front.

Edna Valley
SLO Coast AVA
These locations are part of the new SLO Coast AVA and follow the Historic Highway One. Tourists come to this area year round to experience the costal wildlife, moderate temperatures, and beach access. Recreational hiking, camping and water sports are available along this route.

Santa Maria Valley AVA
This wine region offers the back road experience. Most winery locations have indoor seating, patio areas and ample space for patrons. Los Alamos downtown features historic buildings and a hand full of tasting rooms for patrons looking for an urban experience.

Santa Ynez Valley AVA
This region gained notoriety for its roll in the cult classic, “Sideways.” Many of the scenic roads and destination wineries are still present providing experiences for a new generation of wine drinkers. Don’t miss the cowboy tasting rooms and award winning wine in Los Olivos. Discover destinations that cater to food and wine enthusiasm in Solvang.

Sta. Rita Hills AVA
Highway 246 runs directly through the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. Fog and cool breezes create breathtaking views and desirable conditions for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Urban tasting districts in Lompoc and Buellton host multiple labels, a great option if you are traveling with a group.

Sta. Rita Hills
Santa Barbara
The tasting rooms in El Presidio reflect the city’s colonial heritage and offer award winning wine in Spanish atmospheres. The Funk Zone is located next to East Beach and the Pier. This area is host to small retailers, beach goers and weekend gourmet food trucks.

Temecula
Located near Coachella and Palm Springs this region has adopted the, “party in dessert attitude.” If you are visiting for the first time keep a look out for palm trees that mark the entrance to winery locations. Outdoor tasting bars with shady areas, misters and live music on weekends are common. We were impressed with the region’s attention to food as many locations have invested in bistros and upscale dining options.
