The 2014 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has a pronounced nose, dark and red fruit with light vanilla and exotic spice notes, asian five spice notes. It proves just as dense, generous mouth feel, smooth and elegant, with a good mid palate and length with just a hint of spice on the finish with suggestions of red Maraschino cherry, red currant, strawberry candy, vanilla, baking spices and anise rise above a tighter core of black currant and dark cherry. The finish is lingering and supple, with tannic grip well suppressed, and pretty dried herb notes chime-in at the end. Drinks well now but will evolve and improve for the next 10 yearsPairing Suggestion:

The 2014 reserve is Golden straw colored in the glass, lovely aromatics emerge through perfumed notes of gooseberry, cantaloupe, and quince. The palate is velvety while being fully dry, with complex, chalky limestone mineral notes that mingle with tropical kiwi brightness through a persistent finish. It is already a serious wine, but will evolve to reveal further complexity over the next two or three years in the bottle.
